The Economic Value of the UK’s VFX sector.
All of our screen sectors are killing it when it comes to tax reliefs! Not only did they all generate a return on investment, but they also brought in some serious extra cash for the economy. Film Tax Relief had the biggest impact, bringing in an extra £8.30 for every £1 of tax relief in 2019. That’s a 10.5% increase from 2017! High-end Television Tax Relief also did well, returning £6.44 for every £1 granted.
Although, it did see a slight decrease from 2017. Animation and Children’s Television Tax Relief also had solid returns at £4.53 and £3.20 respectively. And last but not least, Video Games Tax Relief had a return of £1.72 in 2019. Pretty impressive, right? Check out the table for more details on these ROI’s.
